My family and I are fans of penguins. Who wouldn't be, given how amusing they are as they toddle around the snow and ice? To honor these wonderful creatures, we offer a Christmas tree ornament with one of my favorite quotes: "One can't be angry when one looks at a Penguin," by John Ruskin.
Each penguin ornament is made of two layers of wood which is cut by laser. The top layer, painted black, features a silhouette of a penguin. The bottom layer is cut from birch ply, engraved with the Ruskin quote, and hand stained in a pale shade of blue-green. The layers are glued, and a natural jute twine hanger is attached.
Each ornament is approximately 4.25 inches tall and 3.8 inches wide. The reverse side of each ornament is stained light brown. The natural grain of the wood shows through the stain.
